About Us

Fondasyon Luc Innocent pou Devlopman Lakay was created by the children of Luc Innocent to continue his life of service and compassion. He was a mentor, farmer, and community leader who shared his land, knowledge, and hope with families in need.

Today, we continue his mission by addressing Haiti’s most urgent rural challenges: deforestation, youth unemployment, and lack of vocational opportunities. Guided by dignity, solidarity, and empowerment, we believe rural communities can transform their own future.

Every donation helps us write the next chapter of this story — together.

Leasing Our Land,
Fueling Climate Change

At various times in the geologic past, the Earth had dense forests in low-lying wetland areas. Due to natural processes such as flooding, these forests were buried underneath soil. As more and more soil deposited over them, they were compressed.

Pastor Luc Innocent changed the course of my family’s life.
When I was only five years old, he helped my parents move from their countryside home in Sources Chaudes to Figuier, giving them the opportunity to build a better future.
Out of his kindness, he offered my father a piece of land free of charge, so he could build a house and raise his family with dignity.

Today, I am proud to give back — both as a construction master and a CEO — by contributing to the vision he started. I had the honor of completing the reservoir that Pastor Luc once dreamed of building at his home — a project that now brings water, growth, and life to Figuier.

I am deeply grateful to support Fondasyon Luc Innocent pou Devlopman Lakay — as a tribute to everything he did for my parents, for me, and for our community.

I am always happy to water the plants and help my father on the land. Volunteering with the foundation makes me proud because I know I am helping to grow a greener Haiti.

As a mother and grandmother, I’ve always wanted to give back. Even with my own financial struggles, I kept volunteering to water the trees and help at the site. The foundation helped me complete the money I needed with an interest-free loan to start my small business. Today I feel stronger, happier, and proud to keep serving my community

I have been donating since the beginning. This foundation is built on trust and transparency, and every contribution supports real change in Figuier through reforestation, training, and youth empowerment.

I purchased a piece of land measuring 42.50 meters in length and 32.50 meters in width for Fondasyon Luc Innocent pou Devlopman Lakay because I believe in their vision. It will become a reservoir, fruit tree farm, agroforestry site, and a space for livestock such as goats and lambs — creating food, jobs, and hope for the people of Figuier, Anse Rouge.
